In early August, the Vallejo City Unified School District announced free meals for students at five of our schools.
The meals will include both breakfast and lunch as we will be participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2018-19 School Year.
The schools include:
- Everest Academy
- Franklin Middle School
- Lincoln Elementary School
- Mare Island Health & Fitness Academy
- Patterson Elementary School
All students enrolled in these schools are eligible to receive a health breakfast and lunch each day at NO CHARGE. Children will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application.
Although a meal application is not necessary, in order for the schools to receive the necessary classroom funding, parents/guardians will need to complete the enclosed Alternate Household Information Form and return it in the enclosed prepaid envelope, or drop it off at your school site or the District Office.

Please note: If you have students in your household who do not attend one of these CEP schools, a 2018-2019 Free/Reduced Price Meals Application is still required to determine their meal eligibility.
