This week, Kindergarten’s from Ms. Brocks class utilized apples from Loma Vista Farm for a project where they learned how to make apple cider.

The students, from Loma Vista Environmental Science Academy, took turns placing apples into the press one by one and watched them get crushed and saw the effects as the juice came out. Students were then able to taste the apple cider.

Students used their five senses to deepen this experience. They also agreed that although there was no sugar added, the apple cider tasted delicious and sweet.
