Vallejo High School and Independent Studies Academy Counselors assisted 40 students in the first after school 4-year college application of the 2018-19 school year.
These VHS students, along with about half a dozen parents, spent the afternoon at the Professional Development Center on Tue. 10/23/2018 working on their online CSU, UC, HBCU, and private college applications. Students had the opportunity to receive assistance in registering for the SAT and apply online for financial aid.
As many of our students are first-generation college bound students, three more 4-year applications are scheduled for VHS/ISA students (two afterschool workshops from 3-5pm on Thu. 11/8 and Mon. 11/26; one school day workshop on Fri. 11/16).
VHS will also host a “Cash for College” Workshop in English/Spanish on Thu. 11/8 from 6-8pm, which is open to the public. Congratulations to our college-bound seniors!
