Today at Highland Elementary School, Principal Amy Parangan welcomed students, parents, staff and community members to unveil the new computer lab. International Game Technology’s Senior Vice President, Scott Gunn, visited Highland today to celebrate the new lab. State Senator Bill Dodd and Vallejo Mayor Bob Sampayan joined in the festivities.
We were treated to music by the third choir and the robotic club students were first to test the new computers. They were a hit.
The IGT After School Advantage program provides educational opportunities to local children by donating brand new, high-tech computers, printers, software, furniture, and volunteer hours to public schools and non-profit organizations that sponsor after-school programs in jurisdictions where IGT has offices worldwide, including California. For the past 30 years, IGT has been proud to provide technology services to the California Lottery, which helps to support more educational opportunities for the state’s students.
