The Fall Family Night held last week at Dan Mini Elementary School was an opportunity to share resources with the community and come together for an evening of fellowship and fun.
According to Principal Heather Topacio, on Wednesday night a total of 260 parents and students participated in activities, the resource fair and parent workshops. 45 community members received flu shots and 14 parents were able to complete fingerprinting to complete the official parent volunteer process.
Parents learned about the importance of monitoring and limiting their children’s use of social media and participated in a healthy food demonstration.
At the end of the night our students performed a song from our PAX program that shares the school’s vision of peace, productivity, health and happiness.
Topacio said “we build the vision through our shared commitment to community”.
